Nur Nawwarah binti Ewardy Irwan from the Faculty of Arabic Language (FBA) emerged as the champion of the Arabic Language Tazkirah Competition organised by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), in conjunction with the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) for 1446 Hijrah. Ruwaida Katemmadi from the Faculty of Syariah secured second place while third place went to Mohd Kamal Shukri bin Mohd Kamal from the Faculty of Islamic Development Management.
The competition, themed ‘Messages from Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)’, saw eight local and international UNISSA students participate. It aimed to provide a platform to foster love for the Prophet (pbuh) by promoting his leadership, exemplary character and teachings, as well as to enhance the quality and proficiency of the Arabic language in the Sultanate.
UNISSA FBA Dean Dr Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Abdullah was the guest of honour. UNISSA FBA Assistant Dean Dr Hajah Norhayati binti Haji Abdul Karim also attended. – Fadley Faisal
