The two-day China Day and Lantern Festival concluded on Thursday night with a prize presentation and performances at the Darussalam Hall of Chung Hwa Middle School in the capital.
Ambassador of China to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo, Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Lau How Teck with Pehin Kapitan Lela Diraja Dato Paduka Goh King Chin as well as prominent figures in the local Chinese community were among the guests at the closing ceremony.
The event was organised by the Embassy of China in Brunei Darussalam, together with Brunei-China Friendship Association, Chinese Enterprise Association in Brunei and Chung Hwa Middle School to celebrate Chinese New Year as well as promote traditional Chinese culture and art. – James Kon
