Celebrating diversity and autism awareness

Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD)through its Faculty of Integrated Technologies and School of Business and Economics recently organised a three-day event to raise awareness on autism.

The event, dubbed ‘Connecting Colourful Minds’ featured talks on autism themed ‘Painting Minds with Awareness’, by Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei Chief Executive Officer Malai Adila Surya bin Malai Haji Abdullah, founder of Our Pathways Norhaslinda binti Ibrahim and An-Nur Harapan General Manager Melline binti Haji Jaini.

UBD’s Faculty of Integrated Technologies Acting Dean Professor Dr Liyanage Chandratilak De Silva was the guest of honour.

The event also featured the participation of BJAK Cafe, Brunei’s pioneering autism cafe.
