Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is set to hold the Discover UBD Challenge, a campus-wide scavenger hunt on October 27, from 6am to noon at its premises, UBD’s Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) Associate Professor Pengiran Dr Mohd Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra and Head of the Office of Alumni Relations and Advancement Lim Kok Shien said.

The event will provide participants with an opportunity to explore the university campus while searching for hidden items.

The challenge, held in conjunction with National Family Day 2024, aims to foster teamwork, critical thinking and communication skills, designed for participants of all ages and backgrounds, with a focus on problem-solving and collaboration among the participants.

The challenge’s objective is to engage new students with the university’s history and values, while offering UBD alumni an opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater. It also aims to support family bonding in line with the spirit of National Family Day. “A portion of the event’s proceeds, specifically 10 per cent, will be donated to the UBD Endowment Fund,” UBD said in a statement.

Registration will close on September 30. Participants will receive a race kit, which includes a T-shirt, foldable fan, drawstring bag and parking pass. – Azlan Othman
