Camp sharpens youth leadership skills

A total of 45 students and alumni participated in the Youth Impact Camp 2.0 held at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) Mosque for two days and two nights.

The camp was a joint initiative by Religious and Spiritual Alumni (EKK Alumni), Guild of Graduates, UBD and Spiritual and Community Service, UBD Student Affairs Section, along with the support of UBD Mosque Takmir committee.

The camp held for the second time, hoped to build the leadership potential and character of young leaders among students.

The activities were aimed towards nurturing soft skills namely leadership, communication, teamwork and time management.

EKK Alumni President Muhammad Azib bin Alias emphasised the important roles played by the alumni towards guiding the current youth in accordance to the teachings and moral values of  Al-Quran to develop a well-rounded individual.

He hopes UBD alumni will continue to be involved in mentorship and youth development programmes in an effort to answer the titah of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam during his unscheduled visit to UBD on February 19, 2020 towards creating a generation with great moral character and qualities.
