For many years, Brunei Darussalam has continued to experience rapid development, especially in the private construction sector.
Unfortunately, some private developments have caused inconveniences for nearby residents, such as road damage and burst pipes.
A specific example is at Spg 462-109, Kampong Sungai Hanching on Jalan Muara, where heavy vehicles have created several potholes. Some of these have been temporarily covered with steel plates, while others were filled with cement, which hasn’t held up effectively.
Even a repaired burst pipe on the road was not properly covered afterward.
It is hoped that the relevant authorities will address these issues and ensure contractors are held accountable for thorough and proper repairs.
