Brunei Qari participant Abdul Aziz bin Noor Nasran was top 10 in the 26th International Al-Quran memorisation contest in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). He also won a BND19,300 (AED54,450) cash prize.
The competition was held from 1st to 14th of Ramadhan, 1444 Hijrah.
Abdul Aziz was accompanied by Manager cum Trainer Mohammad Ali Sabri bin Haji Yusof.
Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the United Arab Emirates Haji Harun bin Haji Junid was also in attendance.
Abdul Aziz is scheduled to arrive at the Brunei International Airport today at 5.45pm.
