The BIMP-EAGA Business Council (BEBC) of Brunei Darussalam hosted a welcome reception dinner for the Hainan Business Delegation at The Rizqun International Hotel.
The delegation is in the Sultanate to explore avenues for collaboration to boost growth for business communities and the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) as a whole.
BEBC Chairman Pengiran Haji Haris bin Pengiran Haji Duraman accompanied by the Country Directors of the BEBC and other heads of clusters welcomed the delegation.
Ambassador-designate of China to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo attended as a special guest.
Leading the Chinese delegation was China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hainan Provincial Committee Vice President Chen Hongliang. The delegation included members of chamber of commerce executive management from China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Hainan Chamber of Commerce and the Beibu Gulf Economic Circle (Guangxi) Chamber of Commerce.
The networking dinner was a first step for BEBC and Hainan Business Delegation to build on a series of initiatives towards the economic progress of Brunei and China. – James Kon
