Brunei Chess Federation recently organised the Hari Raya Chess Blitz 2023 in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the Brunei Chess Centre, Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex, Berakas.
A total of 82 participants joined the tournament comprised of 12-year-old Aiden Syahmi bin Muhammad Zabri from Stella’ School Brunei who clinched third place in the open category.
The winner of the U16 category goes to Muhd Nur Haziq from Universiti Brunei Darussalam while the Best Lady award goes to Nur Ainul Mardhiah binti Redzuan, 11, from Seri Mulia Sarjana School.
Prizes were presented by Vice President of the Brunei Chess Federation Pengiran Abdul Rahman bin Pengiran Lela Wijaya Pengiran Haji Yussof and the host of the Hari Raya Chess Blitz 2023.
