A bridge link to Berambang Island from Bandar Seri Begawan is being discussed among the agencies, said Minister of Development Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid at yesterday’s 19th Legislative Council (LegCo) session.
LegCo member Yang Berhormat Lawi bin Haji Lamat called for the construction of a bridge to connect residences in Kampong Menunggol to the capital, noting it would ease the commute of residents and provide vital access to emergency services. In his reply, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda said plans have been discussed to build a connection through Kampong Kasat in Mukim Lumapas or using slip roads on the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge, though there are no details yet.
