Approximately 1,000 recipients from the Belait District gathered at Pusat Insani Hall, Seria, yesterday to receive the kurnia peribadi from His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
A recipient, Mohd Marwan bin Abdullah, expressed his gratitude for receiving His Majesty’s personal gift.
Similarly, Cahaya Afia Afifiah binti Mohamad Nor Hafiz, 13, shared her joy at receiving the personal gift from His Majesty, noting that she plans to use it to celebrate Hari Raya and to purchase school supplies.
As for Daud Bujang, who also expressed his gratitude for receiving His Majesty’s personal gift each year, he stated that he plans to use the gift to alleviate the financial burden on his family.
The kurnia presentation continues today, with the total number of recipients receiving the personal gift in the Belait District this year reaching 2,424. – Daniel Lim
