The Belait District Basketball Association (BDBA) organised its annual general meeting at Chin Wah Restaurant in Seria on Sunday.
Association chairman Koo Kong Loi in a welcoming speech outlined the upcoming activities, welcomed 12 new members of the committee and urged new committee members to improve the sport in the district and identify new talents to compete in national and international competitions.
The event continued with a meeting on finances, activities and the election of the new board of committees.
Koo retained his position as chairman while Liu Vui Pin and Foo Kian Ming were elected first and second vice-chairman. The current board of committees boasts 21 members.
With the new leadership, the association is gearing to host the Aewon Basketball Challenge Cup Open in July.
