Baiduri Bank marked its participation in the Ministry of Health’s ‘BN On The Move’ Championship 2024 with a prize presentation ceremony at the Baiduri Community Space, Baiduri Bank Headquarters on Monday.
Baiduri Bank won second place for the ‘Most Engaged Team’ in the private sector category.
With 678 team members actively participating, representing about two-thirds of its workforce, the bank has reinforced its commitment to cultivating a culture of health and wellness.
Baiduri Bank Head of Group Human Resources and Administration Division Veronica Chong, in her opening remarks, said, “Participating in the ‘BN On The Move’ Championship reflects the bank’s commitment to creating a healthier community aligned with Brunei Vision 2035. The dedication of our team inspires us all to prioritise our well-being and support each other in our journey towards a healthier nation.”
The event featured a panel discussion with the winners of the ‘BN On The Move’ Championship, sharing their experiences and strategies for success.
Following the panel, Jab Gym Fitness Manager Marilyn Yap and Jonathan Ooi delivered a talk on ‘How to Get Started’, providing practical tips and insights for participants to embark on their fitness journey.
Throughout the championship, Baiduri Bank’s Employee Wellness Initiatives (EWI) played a pivotal role in supporting employee well-being, encompassing four key dimensions: physical, mental, spiritual, and financial wellness.
The initiatives included activities, such as the Baiduri ‘BN on The Move’ Walkathon and ‘Feel Good Friday’ events, achieving nearly 270 million steps.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to the winners of the ‘Most Steps Challenge’ across multiple categories, recognising the Top Three Leading Employees, the Top Three Male and Female Employees, and the Top 11 overall.
