Bank shares outlook, insights with clients

Standard Chartered Bank Brunei hosted its annual Global Research Brief event for corporate clients and stakeholders where senior economists from its global network shared their outlook and insights on the year ahead.

The event held at the Indera Samudra Ballroom of The Empire Hotel Brunei was attended by over 100 corporate clients and stakeholders of the bank.

Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid delivered the key-note address.

During the morning conference event themed ‘A Year of Two Halves’, ASEAN and South Asia Chief Economist Edward Lee and Head of Asia FX Research Divya Devesh shared viewpoints and insights on the global and Brunei’s economic outlook for the year and discussed strategies for the business current climate.

Standard Chartered Bank Brunei Chief Executive Officer Pengiran Aki Ismasufian bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim said, “With the pandemic crisis now in our rear-view mirror, I have a refreshed positivity and optimistic outlook for the year ahead.
