Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) will organise several customer service clinics themed ‘Cyber Security’ from May 13 to 18 at several branches across the nation, including Kampong Manggis, Kampong Serusop, Kampong Kiulap, Kampong Tanjong Bunut, the Tutong District, the Belait District, and the Temburong District to highlight on educating public the new features introduced recently.
The clinics aim to offer personalised assistance and guidance on navigating the updated features of the BIBD NEXGEN app, focusing on its enhanced security measures.
The customer service clinics are open to all, with special attention to help those less familiar with digital technology, such as the elderly, to understand and utilise the new features effectively.
BIBD began rolling out a series of educational video content across social media platforms last month to educate the public and account holders on the critical aspects of cyber security and provide essential tips on safeguarding financial accounts and personal information.
The BIBD NEXGEN application update introduces robust security features such as device binding, favourites maintenance, and an enhanced Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) system to provide stronger protection against potential cyber threats.
BIBD continues to embrace a digital future while prioritising customer security, education, and awareness by hosting these clinics and through its online video series.
Pop-up stores will also be available at the service clinic locations.
