Awards, recognition for excellent students

Sayyidina Umar Al-Khattab Secondary School held a ceremony at the school hall to award and recognise Year 7 to Year 10 students who had excelled last year.

Principal Sinasuria binti Haji Ibrahim and Deputy Principal Academic Hajah Rosiah Haji Gharif presented the awards.

The ceremony also saw awards presented to Special Progress Examination (SPE) classes and pre-vocational classes and appreciation award for SPE teachers.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Asbliee bin Haji Mohd Ali followed with the principal’s congratulatory speech.

The presentation started with best student for Year 7 followed with best students for Year 9, Year 10, pre-vocational and SPE and then top students for each classes of Year 8, best student in subject for SPE student and SPE outstanding student award.

The award ceremony is conducted annually to celebrate the achievements and to motivate students to excel.
