The donations were collected from the public who donated to the UBD Mosque between March 28 and April 1.

The event’s objective was to support those in need during Ramadhan and Syawal, along with establishing the association as a platform for the community to channel donations, while encouraging the public to be more attentive to those in need.

The Afiah Association is a non-profit organisation set up to support and realise Brunei Vision 2035 in producing quality human capital.

Meanwhile, 34 members of the Kembara Bikers Association and Brunei Darussalam Motoring and 30 members of the Lawas Bikers and Motoring organised a Sungkai ride to distribute food packs to the needy recently.

The first edition of the programme was carried out at two locations – Lawas Ramadhan Bazaar and Lawas Grand Mosque.

Some 150 packs of bubur kacang hijau were distributed to the public at Lawas Ramadhan Bazaar, while basic necessities were distributed at the Lawas Grand Mosque followed by a mass Sunnat Tarawih prayer and Tedarus Al-Quran.

Kembara Bikers Association President Alias bin Haji Md Salleh and Lawas Bikers and Motoring members handed over the donations.

The programme served to forge closer ties and promote unity between the associations while participating in charitable causes during Ramadhan.
