Some 411 Year 7 and 8 students from Sayyidina Abu Bakar Secondary School attended the ‘Know ASEAN Roadshow’ at the school premises on Saturday.
Head of the International Affairs Desk, Corporate Relations Unit, Media and Corporate Communications Division at the Information Department Eddy Iswandy bin Haji Ismail delivered a talk to instil awareness of ASEAN and its role in regional cooperation, aligning with the ASEAN motto: One Vision, One Identity, One Community.
Students also participated in an ASEAN-themed quiz.
Organised by the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, through the International Affairs Desk, Corporate Relations Unit, Media and Corporate Communications Division, the roadshow aims to provide secondary school students with a broader understanding of ASEAN.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to cultivate patriotism and a sense of ASEAN unity among students, encouraging them to appreciate ASEAN’s objectives while strengthening the department’s engagement with the younger generation. This aligns with the goal of shaping future leaders who will contribute to the nation’s progress.
