Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB) has opened application for new students (Secondary Level Year 7) for next year until August 3.
Application is open to citizens of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam or permanent residents of the Sultanate.
Non-citizens whose parent works for the government or a government-linked company (GLC) in Brunei can also apply by presenting a special application letter to the ITQSHHB Board through the institute’s principal.
Applicants must be no more than 14 years old on January 1, 2025 or be in Year 6 of study at government or private schools in 2024, and should have obtained at least a ‘C’ grade in all subjects for the Primary School Assessment (PSR) examination or its equivalent.
They must also pass Al-Quran memorisation interview, be willing to stay in the dormitory throughout the study period and comply with the insitute’s regulations.
Student acceptance is subject to the decision of the board.
Application can be made via online form. For applicants who have difficulty filling in the online form, the institute will assist in filling the form at the institute’s administrative block at Simpang 175, KM2, Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.
The operating hours are 8.30am to noon, from July 9 to August 3, every Tuesday and Thursday.
