The Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory, warning of active weather conditions from tonight (February 19) until Saturday (February 22) as the country remains in the Northeast Monsoon season.
According to the department’s statement on Wednesday evening, occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected, particularly in inland areas during the afternoon. These conditions may extend to coastal and offshore areas at night and in the early morning. Wind gusts of up to 50 km/h are also anticipated, especially near heavy showers.
Meanwhile, sea conditions over Brunei waters are expected to remain slight, with wave heights ranging between 0.5 to 1.0 metres.
The public is advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary precautions during adverse weather conditions.
