Current weather conditions are expected to remain active until December 27 with showers – heavy and thundery at times – with wind speed that may reach up to 50km/h during or near heavy showers, said the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD).
Based on data from the Meteorological Observation Station a total rainfall of 50.3 millimetres (mm) was recorded on Thursday. The maximum wind speed recorded was approximately 32 kilometres per hour (km/h) at 1.45pm. The BDMD said that this is due to the country currently in the first phase of the northeast monsoon.
