Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) at the UNISSA, Sinaut Campus recently.
Signing on behalf of UNISSA was its rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal while USIM Vice Chancellor Professor Ts Dr Sharifudin Md Shaarani signed on behalf of Qatar University.
Before the MoU signing ceremony, the USIM delegation was briefed by the rector about the history and development of UNISSA as well as programmes offered since its establishment in 2007.
USIM vice-chancellor also thanked UNISSA for cooperating in academic fields, research, student exchange and activities between the two universities, especially through the collaboration in the i-IQRA consortium.
The USIM delegation toured UNISSA’s Ibnu Sina scientific laboratory which is equipped with facilities for learning and research, especially in the field of halal science and agriculture.
