A gift from the heart

The Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) presented a BND4,000 donation to the Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei at SMARTER Brunei BACA GIFT Centre on Thursday.

AITI Chief Executive Ir Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar handed over the donation to SMARTER Brunei Acting Chief Executive Officer and Vice President 1 Sharifah Adila Surya binti Malai  Haji Abdullah.

The event included a tour of the centre’s facilities and products showcasing the students’ skills and talents.

The centre’s main objective is to produce individuals with autism who can live independently.

The donation was raised through a fundraising event among AITI employees of conducted by AITI’s Sports and Social Activities (ASSA) committee.

The initiative is part of AITI’s corporate social responsibility and aims to cultivate teamwork and encourage the employees to give back to the community.
