The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB), agent to the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in managing and administering Sukuk Al-ljarah issuances, announced the successful pricing of its 227th issuance of Sukuk Al-ljarah securities.
The total of the sukuk issuance was BND100 million. The issuance date was January 18, 2024, with a maturity date of April 18, 2024, which is a tenor of 91 days, with a rental rate of 3.4375 per cent.
With the issuance, the Brunei Government has thus far issued BND16.68 billion worth of Sukuk Al-ljarah securities since the maiden offering on April 6, 2006.
The total holdings of the Brunei Government sukuk outstanding as at January 18 stood at BND355 million.
