20 abandoned vehicles removed in joint operation

Some 20 abandoned vehicles were moved from various parking areas and roadsides during Operasi Bersepadu Bersih, jointly carried out by the Law Enforcement Unit of Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Municipal Department and the Land Transport Department, recently at Telanai, Tungku Link, Kampong Burong Pingai and Kampong Sungai Akar.

Four vehicles were moved to disposal areas through the committee under the Abandoned Vehicles Nationwide Clean-up Project.

The remaining 16 were moved by parties responsible for the cars.

The BSB Municipal Department, in a statement, reminded the public that abandoning a vehicle in a public space can lead to a fine of up to BND1,000 for individuals and BND2,000 for a body or company. – James Kon
