177 ministry retirees feted in ceremony

The Ministry of Education (MoE)awarded 177 retired officers and staff during a ceremony yesterday, where Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh attended as the guest of honour.

Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Ahmad in a speech, highlighted the retirees’ significant contributions in both teaching and non-teaching roles within the ministry, emphasising their impact on student excellence.

Meanwhile, former assistant vice-chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam Hajah Rubiah binti Haji Yacub speaking on behalf of the retirees, emphasised the ministry’s support, guidance and leadership throughout their service.

The ceremony concluded with Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah presenting certificates and souvenirs to the retirees. – Lyna Mohamad
