Some 120 Year 7 students’ successfully completed the three-day-two-night ‘Sedetik Sejuta Perjalanan’ motivational camp at the Sports Village in Berakas following a closing ceremony yesterday.
The camp aimed to provide exposure and experience to students on educational skills outside the classroom; increase the spirit of identity and unity through integration activities while providing a platform for students to share strategies and ways to deal with issues and challenges in academic achievement.
Acting Director of the Department of Special Education at the Ministry of Education (MoE) Dr Eddy Fazlin bin Haji Amdan presented certificates of appreciation to the sponsors, agencies involved, supervising teachers and motivational camp participants.
A representative of the motivational camp was also on hand to address the gathering.
The MoE, through the Counselling Division in collaboration with the Science Technology Environment Partnership (STEP) Centre, School Leaders and Teachers Welfare Unit (UKPSTP), the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BRC) and Brunei Youth Council (BYC), organised the camp. – James Kon
