Collective efforts are needed to ensure the Sultanate is a Zikir Nation that is continuously blessed and protected by Allah the Almighty from calamities, diseases and disasters.
This was said by Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman during the second day of the Knowledge Convention 2023 yesterday. The minister believes that details on munajat (supplication) and taubat (repentance) shared at the forum will aid in the development of the Sultanate, promote the well-being of the people, ensure safety and achieve a balanced progress in both worldly and spiritually.
The forum, themed ‘Munajat Senegara Dengan Taubat’ (‘Nationwide Munajat With Repentance’), was part of the Knowledge Convention 2023 held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 77th birthday, co-organised by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Chief Syar’ie Judge Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar. – Rokiah Mahmud
