HANGZHOU (AFP) – Tokyo Olympic champion Zhang Yufei successfully defended her Asian Games 200 metres butterfly gold yesterday, cruising to victory ahead of Chinese teammate Yu Liyan in Hangzhou.
Zhang touched in a new Games record time of two minutes 05.57 seconds with Yu (2:08.31) bagging silver and Japan’s Hiroko Makino (2:09.22) bronze.
