His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah stressed on zero tolerance towards abuse of power and corruption during the the 223rd Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad (Brunei LNG) and the 109th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad (BGC) for the third quarter (Q3) of 2024.
His Majesty, who chaired the meeting, also highlighted the importance of upholding business integrity during the execution of all business activities, with focus on cost optimisation while driving companies’ performances.
His Majesty reiterated that shareholders should continue to explore new investment opportunities and identify new technologies to remain competitive.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office building.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, in their capacity as members of the BLNG and BGC Board of Directors.
During the meeting, critical areas were addressed such as operational performance, safety, financials, and manpower development, while also charting the companies’ strategic direction for the coming years and beyond for both Brunei LNG and BGC.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, will also chair the 412th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP) and the 190th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Marketing Sendirian Berhad (BSM) for the Third Quarter of 2024 on Tuesday.
