Youths foster environmental appreciation and life skills at camping program

More than 50 youths from across the nation participated in the Kem Belia Jati Diri Camping Program, a three-night initiative held at Lumut Beachside Recreational Park. The program was designed to cultivate an appreciation for the natural environment while equipping participants with essential life skills.

Organised by the Belait District Branch of the Youth and Sports Department in collaboration with the Faculty of Islamic Development Management (FPPI) at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), the camp provided a platform for youths to enhance their skills, build friendships, and develop self-confidence. The program also aimed to ensure that participants utilised their holidays meaningfully through engaging and enjoyable activities.

The camp featured a variety of activities, including lessons on the basics of marching, orienteering, and team-building games that fostered communication and collaboration among participants.

On the final day, the Director of the Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Language at UNISSA Dr Supri bin Haji Sudin (pic left), attended as the guest of honour. He presented certificates of participation to the youths and interacted with them to learn about their experiences and the valuable lessons they gained throughout the program.
