The Brunei Youth Council, in partnership with Ijtihad Travel Sdn Bhd held a Badminton Tournament from April 19 to yesterday at Riadah Hall, Youth Centre.
The event featured a men’s doubles category for players aged 15 to 45 and attracted 32 participants (16 teams). Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Haji Mohammad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly, the guest of honour, presented prizes to the winners.
The tournament’s second day included quarter-final and semi-final matches, leading up to a finale, where, Lim Hua Kiong and Leeun Wong claimed first place, receiving BND200 in cash and an electronic device. Chris Yong Shun De and Liew Yu Leong took second place, winning BND150 in cash and Mohammad Akmal Firdaus bin Mohamad Ali and Mohammad Zulkhairi bin Haji Mohd Ariff secured third place, earning BND120 in cash.
