Some 60 youth attended a programme held at The Vue Space recently. The half-day programme themed ‘No Bad Projects’ was a platform for 10 talents to share their knowledge, insights and inspirations of local projects to creative professionals, students and youth.
The programme is an initiative of local non-governmental organisation, Just Bruneians aimed at empowering Bruneian creatives.
Discussions covered included storytelling, cultural representation and the evolving creative industry in Brunei providing a platform for writers, artists and communities to share their voices.
The session was split into two parts: standing presentations followed by a panel and a mini-showcase presentation. The mini-showcase is where youth speakers shared their projects in a smaller group setting. The event ended with an open networking session where youth were able to network with fellow participants.
Just Bruneians founder Liyana Hanif shared, “The event is a reminder that creativity isn’t just about talent, it’s about having the courage to create, share, and grow with every project you take on.”
