A Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for mosque youth nationwide was held at Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kampong Jerudong yesterday.
Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan was the guest of honour.
The religious event aimed to instil the habit of Al-Quran reading and strengthen ties among mosque youth as well as to enliven mosques with activities.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Ra’es Associate Professor Dr Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani, and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the MoRA Haji Misle bin Abdul Karim were also present. – Azlan Othman
