The National Youth Policy and Strategy (DBNS) Youth Advisory Group is calling for applications to join the 2023/2024 cohort.
The group will comprise of young individuals passionate about improving the lives of young people in their communities.
As a member of the DBNS Youth Advisory Group, applicants will have the opportunity to provide input and feedback on youth-related policies, programmes, and services in their district. They will also have the chance to advocate for issues affecting young people in their community and work with other youth and community organisations to create positive change. They will gain leadership skills, experience, and mentorship opportunities.
Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 35, reside in one of the four districts, demonstrate a passion for improving the lives of young people in their community, and be able to attend monthly meetings and actively participate in group activities.
Interested individuals must submit a cover letter outlining their interest in the Youth Advisory Group and their skills and experience, a resume or curriculum vitae, and a letter of support from a community leader, mentor or teacher. Applications should be submitted by April 10 to dbns.advisory@gmail.com.
