A youth camp was organised by several mosque youth group at the Games Village in Berakas recently to glorify the holy month of Ramadhan.
The camp, dubbed ‘Youth of Faith’, was carried out by Syababurroja Youth of the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah; Ashabul Haliim Youth of Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque, Tungku Katok; Ashabul Akhyar of Kampong Lumapas Mosque; Syababul Iman Youth of Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, Sengkurong; and mosque youth of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
It was in collaboration with mosque youth groups nationwide and the Youth and Sports Department, supported by the Mosque Affairs Department.
Director of Youth and Sports Department Umi Kalthum binti Haji Abdul Karim was the guest of honour at the closing ceremony on Sunday.
Some 67 youth, aged 15 to 25 joined the camp to learn spiritual, leadership, camaraderie, and 21st-Century skills. – Rokiah Mahmud
