More than 160 young karate practitioners developed their skills and knowledge as part of a ‘Four-Styles One Club Joint Training Camp’ at the multi-purpose hall of the Mumong Sports Complex on Sunday.

Brunei Darussalam Karate Federation (BRUKAF) President and Soke Pengiran Haji Yura Kesteria bin Pengiran Setia Negara Pengiran Haji Md Yusof oversaw the camp in the Belait District.

In his opening speech, Pengiran Haji Yura Kesteria hoped that the young karate practitioners will benefit from the training held during the camp, while also making the camp merrier as they gather and practise with a united goal of honing their karate skills and knowledge.

Wadokai Karate-do Indonesia Teachers Council Chairman Shihan Robert Daniel Wendur led the basic training.

He also led the kata demonstration along with wadokai students later during the camp.

The camp was organised in collaboration between Wadokai Karate Brunei Darussalam, Shotokan Karate Brunei Darussalam, Shitoryu Karate Association Brunei Darussalam, Rengokai Karate Brunei Darussalam and Goju-kai Brunei Darussalam. – Daniel Lim
