    Young Bruneian receives prestigious taekwondo poom belt

    Dayangku Raisya Nur Assyifa binti Pengiran Md Shamsul Al Amin has made history as the youngest athlete in Brunei Darussalam to receive the prestigious Poom belt certificate from the World Taekwondo Headquarters in South Korea.

    Her belt upgrading, conducted by Master Nikman of the Brunei Darussalam Taekwondo Association, was successfully completed in July last year.

    Having started her taekwondo journey in 2022, Dayangku Raisya has been training at ZeroOneEight MMA under the guidance of Coach Sarifuddin bin Rahim. Her dedication and perseverance have led her to achieve this remarkable milestone at a young age.

    Her father, Pengiran Md Shamsul Al Amin, expressed immense pride in her achievement.

    “We are incredibly proud of our daughter, Dk Raisya. Watching her grow and accomplish such milestones at a young age is an indescribable feeling. Her dedication, perseverance, and passion for taekwondo have been truly inspiring to us as parents,” he said.

    He added that her hard work and commitment have paid off, and seeing her represent Brunei on an international level fills the family with pride and joy.
