The Yakin Football League (YFL) serves as a platform to assist the development and growth of football in addition to lifting up the morale of football clubs in Brunei Darussalam.
This was highlighted by YFL Managing Director Pengiran Zamri bin Pengiran Haji Bujang in his remarks during a jersey sponsorship presentation ceremony to the SP FC Legend football team, who will be participating in the upcoming Piala Dirgahayu in the middle of August.
He said that the YFL’s vision is to support the development of football in the country and fine-tune the potential of football players.
Pengiran Zamri, who is also the Managing Director of HiTune Group of Companies, added the contributions will be able to provide a positive impact and seen as a source of motivation for the recipients.
Meanwhile, SP FC Legend team manager Abdul Noronyo bin Haji Apong expressed gratitude while describing the donations as proof of valuable support for their team.
“The sponsorship acts as the best foundation and example for other agencies to play a role in promoting the development of football in the country,” he said.
In gearing up preparations ahead of the tournament, a friendly match ended in a 6-4 win in favour of SP FC Legend over Samarkand. – Fadhil Yunus
