YEAB elects new executive committee

The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei (YEAB) hosted its annual general meeting (AGM) at Prysm Marketing Agency, Madang Cove recently.

The event, chaired by Fatin Arifin as the outgoing president, was attended by YEAB members and invited guests and saw the reporting of YEAB’s activities between 2021 and 2023, membership and financial update.

It concluded with the election of the new executive committee members for 2023 to 2025.

“I have had the honour of leading YEAB in the past four years for two terms with the executive committee,” Fatin said.

“During our term, YEAB founded several initiatives including the YEAB Baiduri Power Lunch initiative for young entrepreneurs; hosted over 60 workshop series under the Go Digital ASEAN programme; chaired the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council in 2021 during our ASEAN Chairmanship; and led the formation of ASEAN Young Women Entrepreneurs Club among others.

“The new executive committee led by Chai Li will surely bring YEAB to greater heights.”

Incoming president Chai Li said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity and the trust that has been placed in me.

“I’m excited to embark on this new chapter and work alongside with the new exco to achieve greater things for Brunei entrepreneurs.”

ExCo members for term 2021-2023 are Chai Li as president, Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Chong Chin Yee as vice president 1, Aimi Ramlee as vice president 2, Adriana Farhana binti Wardi as secretary, Awangku Abdul Azim bin Pengiran Yusof as assistant secretary, Aziimah Hambali as legal secretary, Calvin Kong Lin Kae as treasurer, Syed Mohd Yassin bin Haji Syed Anayatullah Shah as assistant treasurer, Louis Loo for PR and membership, and Shinny Chia for social media and events.

The committee members are Loqman Hamdan, Mohammad Faizallani and Dayangku Nurul Khairunnisa binti Pengiran Haji Roslin (Chai Roslin).
