Yayasan School FC prepare for U-17 league

Yayasan School FC has stepped up their preparations ahead of the upcoming Brunei Darussalam Schools Football League 2023.

The league, organised by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam, has managed to unearth the country’s pool of young football talents.

Team Manager Pengiran Haji Md Hidayatullah bin Pengiran Haji Rasidi said, “We are continuing our efforts to organise our best team in preparation. We may not be a team that is respected and feared yet, however, we have now engaged a qualified coach with an Asian Football Confederation ‘A’ Coaching Diploma.”

He added, “Our aim is to field an increasingly competitive team as we progress. Our new head coach has just started coaching early last month but I am very happy with the professionalism that he brings to the school team.

“The team is now much more disciplined and the training is more systematic and scientific.

“The players are responding very well and are markedly much more enthusiastic and committed in their training.”

The team manager also shared that attendance has also risen following the appointment of the head coach which augurs well for the future. – Fadhil Yunus
