The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) facilitated a workshop on Strengthening Maqasid Syariah in the Management and Administration of Brunei Darussalam for the workforce of the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) yesterday.
The participants comprised 61 officials from MPRT, who attended the Maqasid Syariah Understanding Briefing in Management and Administration last month.
Azman bin Haji Kassim and Haji Mohd Syahiran bin Haji Mohd Sofian from Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) moderated the workshop.
Among the objective of the workshop was to assess the effectiveness of the ministry’s management and administration for the requirements of the establishment of the Maqasid Syari’ah Index of Brunei Darussalam.
The workshop is conducted by MoRA through the Muraqib Unit. Strengthening Maqasid Syariah in the Management and Administration of Brunei Darussalam is one of the strategic projects of the MoRA for 2020 to 2024.
The project’s main goal is to inculcate embracing five principles of Maqasid Syariah in management and administration.
The project is also intended to assimilate good values in supporting Maqasid Syariah in the governance of an organisation as well as in daily life.
