The Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) through the Fiqh al-Usrah Research Centre held the opening ceremony of its third parenting skill workshop yesterday.
Some 53 participants attended the two-day workshop at Tarbiyah Hall, KUPU SB.
The Fiqh al-Usrah Centre Director Dr Haji Sham bin Haji Amin in his welcoming remarks, said the workshop aims to uphold collective efforts to formulate policies that strengthen the family institution.
Eight modules have been lined up for the workshop, including ‘Memantapkan Praktikaliti Solat’ and ‘Menghayati Al-Quran Dalam Kalangan Keluarga’.
Meanwhile, Ra’es of KUPU SB Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar called on parents to have ample knowledge on the benefits of practicing mass prayers especially at mosques, and their importance in exposing children to the practice to ensure it is part of their daily routine.
