Workshop fuels growth in youth potential

Thirty-eight youth from Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (MABIMS) nations received certificates at the E to Soul Workshop closing ceremony yesterday.

Brunei Darussalam organised the workshop as part of the MABIMS 2021-2025 Strategic Plan focusing on youth potential.

The workshop included themes such as holistic, entrepreneurial, global and da’ie (preacher) with an emphasis on mastering communication skills.

The three-day workshop was organised by the Public Relations, International and MABIMS Division at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA).

Participants included 22 from Brunei Darussalam, five from Indonesia, six from Malaysia, and five from Singapore.

Permanent Secretary of the MoRA Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, presented the certificates, as the Head of Senior Officials’ Meeting MABIMS Brunei Darussalam.

The workshop aimed to develop da’ie youth capable of using social media for Islamic propagation, teaching preaching techniques, effective communication skills and fostering leadership qualities.

The workshop featured facilitators from Brunei and Malaysia, which included Pengiran Norhayati binti Pengiran Haji Kasharan from Islamic Da’wah Centre, Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak from Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan, Mohd Adam @ Chong from Matters.oc and Mohd Hariri bin Haji Mohd Daud from Islamic Development Department, Malaysia. – Azlan Othman
