Some 40 academics, law practitioners, policymakers, corporate leaders, consultants and students from higher learning institutions attended a workshop on corporate waqaf (endowment) yesterday.
It was held in conjunction with the International Waqaf Conference and Islamic Week Exhibition organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) in collaboration with Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).
Professor Dr Ridzwan Bakar from Faculty of Management of Universiti Multimedia Malaysia facilitated the workshop at International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas, which was part of Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (Brunei MYCE) 2022 organised by the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.
The first session of the workshop saw a presentation on corporate waqaf followed by a discussion and a question-and-answer session.
The workshop’s second session saw group presentations as well as a summary of the workshop.
