In preparation for the Primary School Assessment (PSR) examination this year, motivational words can boost the spirit, confidence and determination of students, said Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School Principal Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi.
She said this as the guest of honour during a workshop held for 175 YSHHB Year 6 students at the school’s multipurpose hall yesterday.
She added that the PSR Examination is also regarded as a vital foundation for students to pursue their secondary and tertiary education.
Lecturer and Dean of Students of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Dr Haji Mohammad Shahrol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk addressed the students at the workshop.
He said the acronym BERKAT stands for berusaha (making an effort), efficient, redha (acceptance), competitive, akhlak (attitude) and tawakal. This, he added, can be applied by students in their daily life, hoping that they will grow as excellent individuals. – Rokiah Mahmud
