The Tourism Development Department under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism held a one-day workshop on package development for 18 travel agents at the ministry yesterday.
The workshop aimed to equip travel agents with the knowledge and skills to develop compelling travel packages catering to diverse customer preferences and showcase Brunei’s rich tourism offerings.
The sessions led by department officers emphasised the importance of digital tools for marketing and promotion and included a series of presentations, discussions, and exercises fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The workshop also prepared the participants to promote their packages at upcoming international expos throughout the year and into 2025, including the Singapore NATAS Holiday, Tourism Expo Japan 2024 and other events.
By diversifying their offerings to attract various market segments, the department also aims for travel agents to be able to create better and more enticing packages for unique Ramadhan experiences in the Sultanate.
The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to participating agencies. – James Kon
