ANN/THE STAR – A worker transferring furniture from an overturned lorry was killed when some of the furniture fell on him in Sandakan, Malaysian state of Sabah.
Sandakan Fire Station chief Mohd Nidzam Sainku said according to witnesses, the worker in his 20s identified as Nawawi was removing furniture from the overturned lorry when one of it fell on him yesterday.
Mohd Nidzam said the accident was believed to have occurred on Saturday and the owner had sent workers to remove the furniture from the overturned truck.
It is understood that the driver and his attendant were not hurt in the accident.
