    Women’s spiritual gathering highlights devotion, perseverance

    A talk delivered during the 21st special Munajat Night for women emphasised the significance of perseverance in worship and the trials faced by Muslim women in maintaining their faith.

    The speaker highlighted that paradise is surrounded by hardships, while the path to hell is lined with temptations, urging the attendees to remain steadfast in their prayers, despite worldly distractions.

    The event, held as part of the 171st Munajat Night organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, took place at the main prayer hall of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB).

    The gathering began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by assistant lecturer Nurul Azimah binti Haji Abdul Hamid.

    It proceeded with a collective recitation of Surah Yaasiin guided by Assistant Head of the Religious and Spiritual exco of the KUPU SB student representative council Hayatul Ain Nabillah binti Amir Hussin.

    The Munajat prayer was recited by Deputy Syar’ie Prosecutor at the Syar’ie Prosecution Division of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Hajah Siti Khalijah binti Haji Bakar.

    Meanwhile, the Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was led by religious officer at the Muslimah Affairs Division of the Mosque Affairs Department Noorhazlina binti Mohiddin.

    Academic staff and students of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, mosque committee members and congregant from various mosques attended.

    Women working in the MoRA and its departments participated virtually.

    Spouse of Minister of Religious Affairs, Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Asbi was among the attendees. – Fadley Faisal
