Women congregants took part in the weekly Munajat night for the third time, organised for the 47th time on Saturday night by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA), Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT), Ministry of Education (MoE) and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS).
Among the attendees were the spouse of the Minister of Religious Affairs Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi, along with women congregants, spouses of permanent secretary and deputy permanent secretary at the MoRA and women officers and staff.
The recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab followed by the reading of Surah Yaasiin led by Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the MoE Dr Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin from Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque.
Doa Munajat was led by Head of the Islamic Syiar Development Division at the MoRA Hajah Siti Mahyana binti Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya, along with women officers at the division from Multaqa Hall, MoRA. The event also saw a religious talk on ‘Hijrah is easy, What is important is self-reflection’ by Religious Development Officer at Temburong District Dakwah Unit, MoRA Syuhaidah binti Haji Mohd Yusoff. There was also the recitation of Selawat Tafrijiyyah led by Permanent Secretary (Community) at the MCYS Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari. She was joined by the women group of the MCYS and Youth Development Centre from the centre’s Surau.
Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Senior Religious Officer at the MoRA Noraini Yanti binti Haji Hussin from Kampong Tanah Jambu Mosque.
